Talking Dictionary 697. His Water And Brain Are Boiling

697. He filled the pot with water and turned on the burner. Sitting down, he opened the paper and started reading a story about political corruption. He got angry. He said, "This corruption is everywhere. It's driving me nuts! Politicians, lawyers, judges, bankers—they're all corrupt! And they hardly ever get caught. And when they do get caught, they hardly ever go to jail. They get a slap on the wrist. And the more corrupt they are, the lighter the slap. If they steal millions, all they have to do is promise to pay it back. They're liars and cheats, but their promise is good! ? Unbelievable!" His wife said, "The water's boiling, you know. It's boiling just like your brain! Why do you get upset about things that you can't do anything about? Take your boiling brain and do something useful, like community work, like giving back, like massaging my feet!" 4.6
