Talking Dictionary563. Can't Sleep? Meet My Feet!

Repeat

563. He had trouble getting to sleep every night. As soon as he closed his eyes, he thought of bad things he'd done or said in his life. He thought of bad things others had done or said to him. He tried to think of pleasant things. But no sooner would he picture chocolate ice cream than it would change into a snarling supervisor. He complained to his wife about it. She said, "I never have that problem. Every day I get up early. Every night I come home late. I sleep like a baby." He said, "So? What's that got to do with my problem?" She said, "So, you're not tired enough when you go to bed. You haven't worked hard enough during the day. Would you like to hear my solution?" He said, "Uh, okay." She said, "Massage my aching feet every night! Don't stop until you fall asleep!" 2.6
